Our family of four is based mainly in the UK and as we have always enjoyed visiting new places and trying new things, we thought it would be a great idea to write about the various travels that we have had from solo, couple and family travelling perspectives, so that others can learn from our experiences.

We like to research our travel gear as we like to buy cool stuff that works well and that lasts. Not only does this mean that we get value for money, it is also less damaging to the planet. With some of our gear being older than the kids… that makes it very cool!!
With 50+ years of travelling experience, between us, we have been privileged to travel to many exciting places, meet lovely people and experience some very cool things (including diving with sharks and turtles, sleeping under the stars in the desert and swimming in caiman infested rivers).
We’ve travelled by foot, cars, campervans, planes, boats, ships, ferries, bikes, rickshaws, camels and donkeys and even in an ancient 1960’s Mercedes taxi with goats through hair raising Atlas Mountain passes
We have travelled to lots of exciting places
The countries we have visited have included … The U.K. (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland), The Channel Islands, Ireland, France, Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Italy, Croatia, Andorra, Spain, Malta, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Switzerland, Greece, Corsica, Turkey, Hungary, U.S.A, Canada, Singapore, Indonesia, India, Maldives, Kenya, Morocco, Cape Verde, Egypt, Jordan, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, Hawaii, Belize, Guatemala, Mexico, Dominica, St. Lucia… The list keeps growing and we aim to keep travelling for as long as we can.
We like to try different things when we travel
Cool activities have included … Scuba Diving, Skiing, Climbing, Mountain Biking, Hiking, Sky Diving, Bungee Jumping, Caving, Wild Swimming, Water Skiing. We’re not adrenaline junkies though and like nothing more than taking in a view and eating great local food. We really love getting back to basics in our VW California campervan that we have traveled far and wide in. In fact this website was inspired by friends we met whilst camping in Cornwall as they had set up the really informative Camping Secrets website.
